Philadelphia marathon near completion

Philadelphia marathon also known as the Philadelphia Independence Marathon was first started in the year 1954 and the organizers had decided to schedule the race every year on the 3rd weekend of November. This year the race was expected to be having close to 20000 participants. The course of the race involved city streets starting at 22nd Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway with finally ending at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The city routes involved Washington Square and Independence Hall. As per our resources, John Crews was at the front followed by Emory Mort and Karl Savage (Philly Native).  The official website is currently experiencing a melt down and we will soon update our readers on the winners
